Industry Peers Gather to Explore the Next Chapter of Smart Hospitality
Monthly Highlights
From September 21 to 23, 2026, the 2026 Hyatt Greater China Hotel IT Conference — themed "Elevate Technology" — was held at the Grand Hyatt Changsha. Hyatt leadership and IT heads from hotels across Greater China gathered to discuss how technology can genuinely drive operational upgrades in hospitality.
ROUNDING (Shanghai) Information Technology Service Co., Ltd. attended the conference with its IPTV solution as a newly approved brand partner of Hyatt, and engaged in in-depth discussion with guests on bringing in-room digitalization to life.

01 IPTV: The First Screen and the First Entry Point
From a single screen to an ongoing guest relationship
At the conference, ROUNDING presented the IPTV of its TURING product line. Our view: the key to in-room digitalization is not packing more features onto one screen, but ensuring guests find exactly what they need, exactly when they need it.
IPTV is the most natural first touchpoint when a guest enters the room. In the past, the TV was simply a playback terminal; today it is becoming the first interactive channel between hotel and guest — the "service hub" of the room. If a hotel chooses, it can even extend service into a relationship that continues after the guest checks out.
ROUNDING puts it this way: one screen can offer guests three experiences — discovering the hotel, using its services, and enjoying their own time.
With the TV on, guests can watch the live content they love and find everything relevant to their stay — hotel information, dining, services, loyalty privileges and facilities — all within a single screen. When does dinner end? Is the gym open? What time is the wake-up call? A light touch is all it takes. ROUNDING's secure and stable casting service brings "my content, my habits, my entertainment" to the big screen in one seamless experience.
At the same time, ROUNDING thinks as hotels do. By pairing IPTV with on-demand entertainment, we turn a single viewing into an opportunity to promote and connect with hotel loyalty members. In response to the national ESG call, we actively support the sustainable development of star-rated hotels, advocating energy saving, emission reduction and environmental protection — for example, allowing guests to opt out of unnecessary linen changes according to their own needs.

02 Conversations at the Conference
Product and service thinking first: ROUNDING TURING IPTV draws strong interest, and ROUNDING's gift is warmly received
ROUNDING has always put customers first, led by product thinking and service thinking. During the conference, ROUNDING TURING IPTV showcased its latest products and service philosophy, the high-end brands under Hyatt, a landmark case study at Park Hyatt Suzhou — an iconic hotel in Greater China — and future product concepts under active exploration. The booth welcomed IT heads from Hyatt hotels across Greater China throughout the event. During tea breaks and lunch, guests kept coming by to ask about in-room digitalization and to see live demonstrations of the IPTV functions. The two sides had a thorough exchange on applying IPTV in guest rooms, laying a solid foundation for further communication and cooperation.
For this conference, ROUNDING researched in depth the professional needs and habits of hotel IT heads. The gift we chose was a well-known brand power bank described as "carry-on approved, able to charge a laptop or a phone, and in that case the most compact, best-looking and most portable option on the market." Its understated, practical, high-quality and highly efficient character — steadying the whole room at the critical moment — resonates with the professional habits and spirit of IT people. The gift was not only well received by guests; many peers from the industry also came to the booth after hearing about it.

03 Guidance and Exchange with Greater China IT Executives

Hyatt represents the world's leading high-end hotel brands. To discuss what the next screen in the guest room should look like, together with Hyatt IT executives who hold forward-looking service philosophies and IT heads from each region, is itself an important beginning.
The conference lasts three days; cooperation is a far longer road. Televisions will not disappear — but "television" is disappearing. From playing content to connecting services: this is what ROUNDING is doing, and what we hope will be genuinely felt by guests in more and more hotel rooms.
Thank you to the Hyatt Greater China IT team for your trust and exchange. This year's conference has come to a successful close, and ROUNDING looks forward to meeting you all again.
